When they got their independence, they changed many things, most notably their flag, however, even after La Maisson’s independence from the French, the country still retained most of the French culture. The theory of origin is the Force Theory. The French took over and forced the natives to follow their rule. They’re National Anthem was written in the midst of their war for independence from the French. The anthem was written in French, but is sometimes translated and sung in English. The anthem is about the residents of La Maisson moving on from the war and vowing the maintain peace for the nation and taking a vow to refrain from any type of war. Also, we always have bad hurricanes, and tsunamis, but we are in the process of building steel barriers to break waves over 70 feet.
